Joined Property Services Agency (PSA) 1982 as Graduate Building Surveyor. Early years involved in both Navy and Army works services procurement. Latter years employed as Commission Manager Principal BS (Grade 7) for wide range of Government Departments.
Moved to Private Sector and joined Ryden in 1992. Areas of operation related to undertaking Commission Manager Duties for Civil Departments as Consultants, including Property Holdings 1992 - 96, Scottish Office 1992 - 99, Scottish Executive 1999 - 2002, PACE 1996 - 2000 and Scottish Court Service 1992 - 2001. Promoted to Associate Partner in 1993. Also involved in the provision of consultancy services to Standard Life, Grand Lodge of Scotland and Royal Bank of Scotland. Areas of expertise include CDM Co-ordination, Planning Supervision, Asbestos and DDA.
Set up Bruce Shaw Property Consultants Limited in 2002.
