What's New

CDM Co-ordinator

Although not strictly a new service, we highlight the updated CDM regulations here in the light of the new terminology and additional duties required.

Two years down the line, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 are settling in and terms such as the ‘CDM Co-ordinator’ and ‘pre-construction information’ are accepted as standard currency throughout the construction industry. The integration of the old Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 into the new regulations and its re-emergence as Part 4 of CDM 2007 appears to have been accepted and understood by most but, still not all, involved in the property procurement process.

Bruce Shaw have been involved with the CDM Regulations since the original piece of legislation came into force in 1995. We feel that the new CDM 2007 is a good step forward in the development of Health & Safety on construction sites and have built up considerable experience in the provision of the service to clients.
